RALEIGH, NC – The Johns Hopkins women's track and field team opened the 2025-26 outdoor season Friday evening at the Raleigh Relays, highlighted by performances from Mackenzie Setton, Adriana Catalano and Mia Kotler, who each etched their names into the program record book.
 
Setton kicked off her senior outdoor campaign in impressive fashion, clocking a personal-best 4:27.20 in the 1,500 meters. She placed 79^th overall in a highly competitive field of 227 athletes dominated by Division I talent and was the first Division III runner to cross the line. Her time ranks third-fastest in program history and currently stands as the fastest in Division III this season. Emma Kothari also delivered a strong performance in the event, posting a 4:47.04 to record the 30^th-fastest time in the nation this season.
 
Catalano followed with a personal-best effort in the 5,000 meters, finishing 50^th in a deep field of 201 competitors. Like Setton, she was the top Division III finisher, crossing the line in 16:36.47. Her mark ranks third all-time in program history and is currently the second-fastest time in Division III this season.
 
Kotler capped the meet for the Blue Jays in the 10,000 meters, placing 57^th with a time of 35:56.35. She was also the first Division III runner to finish and now ranks eighth in program history. Her performance currently stands as the fifth-fastest time in Division III this season.
 
Hopkins returns to action on Saturday, March 28 at the Navy Outdoor Invitational. Events at the Naval Academy are scheduled to begin at 10:00 a.m.
