BALTIMORE, MD – The Johns Hopkins water polo team placed a school-record 13 Blue Jays on the 2020 Association of Collegiate Water Polo Coaches (ACWPC) and Mid-Atlantic Water Polo Conference (MAWPC) All-Academic Teams it was announced recently.
In addition to the individual honors, Hopkins earned team honors with a 3.62 GPA, the fifth best in the nation. Hopkins has now produced 140 all-conference and 153 national academic selections. The Blue Jays' 13 selections are the second most in the nation in Division III.
The all-academic teams are divided into three categories – Outstanding (3.71-4.00), Superior (3.41-3.70) and Excellent (3.20-3.40) - based on cumulative grade point average.
