«  Including the win at F&M, the Blue Jays have won 35 of their last 38 games in the month of October dating back 2010.
«  Ironically, the Blue Jays had been just 10-8 in their previous 18 games in the month of October before jump-starting the current 38-game run with a 49-24 win at Susquehanna (10-23-2010).

Friday Night Lights
«  Dating back to 1982, when the Blue Jays began regularly scheduling games on Friday night, this week's game will be the 60th for Johns Hopkins under the Friday night lights.
« Since 1982, Johns Hopkins is 41-17-1 (.703) on Friday night, including 37-13-1 (.735) at Homewood Field.
« Johns Hopkins has won 13 straight home games on Friday night dating back to 2008.  The last home loss on a Friday night for the Blue Jays was a 41-10 setback to Gettysburg in 2007.
« This week's game will be the sixth between Johns Hopkins and Muhlenberg on Friday night (since 1982).  The Mules topped the Blue Jays 21-6 last season on Friday night in Allentown.
« Johns Hopkins and Muhlenberg played at Homewood Field on Friday night in 1992, 1994, 1996 and 1998 with the Blue Jays winning each of those games.  Hopkins topped Muhlenberg, 34-31, in the Mules' last Friday night trip to Homewood in 1998.

Before The Bye
«  Including the win against F&M and dating back to 2011, the Blue Jays are 54-3 in games played before their bye week.
«  The Centennial Conference went to the league-wide bye in the middle of the season in 2011.
« Including this season, Johns Hopkins has made it to its bye week unbeaten eight times since 2011 (2011-16, 2021-22) and suffered a single loss before the bye each year from 2017-19.

After The Bye
«  Since the Centennial Conference went to the league-wide bye in 2011, Johns Hopkins is 8-2 in its first game played after the bye week.
« The Blue Jays won their first game after the bye each year from 2011-18, but have dropped their last two against F&M (2019 / 20-17) and Muhlenberg (2021 / 21-6).

35+ in 11 Straight
«  With the 43-point showing in the win at Franklin & Marshall, Johns Hopkins has now scored at least 35 points in a school-record 11 consecutive games dating back to last season.  The last time JHU failed to score at least 35 points was on October 15, 2021, when Muhlenberg held the Blue Jays to six in a 21-6 victory.
« Dating back to late in the 2019 season, the Blue Jays have reached the 35-point mark in 19 of their last 20 games.

Schuermann Sets School Record
«  Johns Hopkins junior Luke Schuermann set a school record with six sacks in the win at F&M two weeks ago.  The previous record of five had been held by Dave Goldman since 1987, when he notched five in a 19-6 win over Saint Peter's.
« Schuermann's six sacks also tied the Centennial Conference single-game record and he is the only player in the nation (at an NCAA school) with a six-sack game this season.
« Entering this week's game against Muhlenberg, Schuermann leads the nation (Division III) in sacks per game (1.90) and is tied for fifth in tackles for loss per game (2.50).

It's Been a  While
«  Johns Hopkins senior John Krill hit three field goals (36, 28, 43) and four extra points in the win at F&M to earn Centennial Conference Special Teams Player of the Week honors for the first time in his career.
« Krill is the first Johns Hopkins kicker to hit three field goals in a game since Jamie Sullivan had three in a 37-7 win against Moravian on September 16, 2017.

Fastest to 5K
«  Johns Hopkins quarterback Ryan Stevens threw for 346 yards in the win at F&M two weeks ago and in the process ran his career passing total to 5,173 yards.
« Stevens eclipsed the 5,000-yard mark in his 20th career game to break David Tammaro's record for reaching 5,000 the fastest (21 games).  For the record, both Stevens and Tammaro reached the mark in their 17th career start as Tammaro (4 games) and Stevens (3) saw limited time as freshmen.
« Stevens enters this week's game needing just one touchdown pass to tie former Blue Jay quarterback and head coach Jim Margraff for fourth place in school history with 50 career TD passes.

Wolf Into Top 5, Top 20

« His efforts thus far in 2022 push his career totals 1,475 rushing yards and 28 touchdowns on just 254 career carries.
« Wolf is now in sole possession of fourth place on JHU's career rushing touchdowns list and ranks 20th in career rushing yards.

It's Been a While - Partk II
«  The Johns Hopkins defense posted its second consecutive shutout with the 54-0 victory over Moravian (Sept. 23).  This came one week after topping Juniata 70-0 to give the Blue Jays back-to-back shutouts for the first time since 2008.
« JHU held Juniata to just 123 yards of total offense and limited Moravian to just 106.  This marked the first time the Blue Jays have held consecutive opponents under 200 yards of total offense since a three-game run early in the 2012 season.
«  In the recent win against Juniata, the Blue Jays held the Eagles to -14 rushing yards.  The last time Hopkins held a team to negative rushing yards was on November 7, 2009, when the Blue Jays held F&M to -20 in a 51-13 victory.
