BALTIMORE, MD – Johns Hopkins men's basketball senior Ethan Bartlett has been named to the CoSIDA Academic All-District Team it was announced this afternoon. This is Bartlett's first selection to the team.
 
Hopkins has now produced 22 CoSIDA Academic All-District selections since 1990, with 19 of those coming 16 seasons. Bartlett is the Blue Jays' first selection since 2018 and he now moves onto the Academic All-America ballot; that team will be announced on March 16.
 
The District II region includes Connecticut; Delaware; District of Columbia; Maryland; New Hampshire; New Jersey; Rhode Island; Vermont; West Virginia. To be eligible for the CoSIDA Academic All-America program, a student-athlete have at least a 3.30 or higher cumulative GPA, be a sophomore or above and a starter or significant reserve.
 
Bartlett is a public health major and boasts a 3.65 cumulative GPA. A two-year starter, he ranks second on the team in rebounds (6.1) and is third in blocks (8) and steals (20). Bartlett also averages 5.4 points and 1.1 assists per game. He ranks seventh in the Centennial in rebounds and is tied for 11^th in steals. He is also a member of the Johns Hopkins track team and holds the school record in the triple jump.
 
Bartlett is a co-founder and Community Outreach Co-Chair for the Johns Hopkins Black Student-Athlete Association. He is a research assistant for the Hampton Project and is working on a project to implement and evaluate a Violent Crime Review Panel as part of the Community Empowerment to Reduce Violence. Bartlett is also a researcher for the GVA Data Abstraction Project at JHU and a member of the Associate Dean for Diversity & Inclusion search committee. In addition, he is a co-founder of The Organization for Equitable Policing in Westchester, NY.
