Delaney Earns Centennial Conference Player of the Week Honors

BALTIMORE, MD – Johns Hopkins men's basketball graduate student Conner Delaney was named the Centennial Conference Player of the Week for the second time this season on Tuesday.
 
Delaney led Hopkins to a pair of wins as the Blue Jays clinched their first Centennial Conference regular season title since 2015. He averaged 20.5 points, 4.5 rebounds and 4.0 assists. He scored 15 points to go with four boards, four assists and one steal in JHU's win at Washington College on Wednesday. Delaney followed that with a senior day to remember, finishing with 26 points, five rebounds and four assists in Hopkins' win over Ursinus.
 
Against the Bears on Saturday, Delaney moved from eighth place into a tie for fifth in JHU history with 1,370 career points. He also ranks second all-time with 389 assists and needs 10 to tie Dave Eikenberg's record. Delaney leads the Centennial Conference in assists (4.3) and three-pointers (66), is second in scoring (18.7) and free throws (95) and third in field goals (134).
 
Hopkins opens the postseason on Friday, February 25 in the Centennial Conference semifinals. JHU will take on the winner of Tuesday's Dickinson-Ursinus game at 8:00 pm in Goldfarb Gym. Admission is $5 for adults, $3 for youth (13-18) and free for students from participating schools with ID.
