The Short Story: The Johns Hopkins women's swim team picked up right where it left off on Friday night as the Blue Jays broke two records, posted 10 NCAA B times and eight career bests.

Top Finishers
• For the second straight night, Hopkins opened the session with first and second-place relay finishes. Junior
Cecilia Cortez, freshman
Taylor Rohovit, sophomore
Anni Fan and senior
Kristen Alicea-Jorgensen combined for a time of 1:43.99. The team of senior
Sydney Okubo, freshman
Michelle Liu and juniors
Emerson Davis and
Chase Lahr followed in 1:44.32. Both teams posted NCAA B times.
• Davis placed fifth in the 100 Fly as she clocked in at 57.47. Fan touched the wall just one-tenth of second later for seventh place.
• The Blue Jays then dominated the 400 IM, taking the top three spots. Senior
Elaine Lipkin earned the win and broke the nine-year-old school record with a 4:24.79. Rohovit took second with a freshman record of 4:25.10 – her time would also have broken the school record (4:25.38). Both times are also NCAA B times. Sophomore
Joanna Dohrman placed third with a career-best time of 4:31.37.
• The 200 Free saw another record fall. Freshman
Kristin Cornish placed second and broke the program's freshman record with a time of 1:50.24. Liu finished in fourth place (1:51.5) and sophomore
Makenzie Higgins finished in fifth (1:51.95). All three swimmers' times are NCAA B times.
• Freshman
Megan Craven placed fourth in the 100 Breast with a career-best time of 1:07.03.
• Okubo then took third in the 100 Back with an NCAA B time of 56.18. Sophomore
Cameron Roche placed sixth, also with an NCAA B time, as she finished in a career-best 56.34.
• Alicea-Jorgensen added an NCAA B time in the 50 Free time trial (23.67).Â
