Lancaster, PA - The Johns Hopkins women's outdoor track & field team is the favorite once again in the Centennial Conference. The Jays have won the last 11 outdoor championships and sit atop the poll in search of their 12th consecutive crown. The Jays received all the first-place votes, totaling 81 points. 

Swarthmore (69), Dickinson (66), Ursinus (57) and Franklin & Marshall (44) round out the top-five of the preseason poll.

Hopkins secured gold in nine of 21 events at last spring's CC outdoor meet hosted by Muhlenberg. The Blue Jays collected 281 points to win the team title by more than 100 points.  Both CC major award winners from the 2021 championship are back for Hopkins this spring - Ella Baran and Victoria Kadiri. Baran was named Outstanding Track Performer of the championship after setting a new championship-meet record in the 1500 meters and also anchoring the winning 4x800 relay. Baran also enters 2022 as the conference record holder in the 5,000 meters following a record-breaking performance at the 2021 NCAA outdoor meet. Kadiri collected both Outstanding Field Performer and Outstanding Rookie honors after capturing gold in the high jump, placing second in the 100-meter dash and fifth in the shot put. 

The Blue Jays return three 2021 Outdoor All-Americans in Baran, Kadiri and Annie Gutierrez. 

Hopkins opens up the season on March 25th in Raleigh, NC.
