th-ranked Rutgers scored with just six ticks left to beat the 20
th-ranked Johns Hopkins women's lacrosse team Saturday afternoon in Big Ten action.

How it Happened
• Fifth-year
Shelby Harrison gave the Blue Jays the early lead with a free position goal at 13:25, but the Scarlet Knights answered with back-to-back goals from to take a 2-1 lead at the 10:47-mark. Harrison sparked a three-goal Hopkins run when she scored on a high-to-low shot off the dodge. Senior
Claire Mills scored from the doorstep in transition and then junior
Madison McPherson ran past the defense and beat Sophia Cardello stick-side high.Â
• Stephanie Kelly ended the Blue Jays' run and cut the deficit to one with a left-handed score at 1:38. Freshman
Charlotte Smith answered with just 16 ticks on the clock, burying a free position shot to the upper right corner to stake Hopkins to a 5-3 lead after one.
• Rutgers scored twice in a 16-second span early in the second to knot the score at five. Hopkins responded with four goals in a run that bridged halftime and gave the Blue Jays a 9-5 lead. Sophomore
Georgie Gorelick got things going when she dodged hard to the cage and picked the far post from a tough angle at 10:35. Harrison then split the defense on the dodge and scored on a low shot and it was 7-5 at the half. Â Junior
Maeve Barker and Harrison opened the third with a pair of free position goals.
• Cassidy Spilis bookended a three-goal spurt by the Scarlet Knights, that ended a scoreless drought of nearly 21 minutes and cut the lead to one after three.
• McPherson pushed the lead back to two when she scored on the run from the right alley just 52 seconds into the fourth quarter. The Scarlet Knights answered with another three-goal run, including a pair from Spilis, to take an 11-10 lead with 3:45 to play.
• McPherson scored her second straight and tied the game with 2:23 left, beating her defender and scoring on a bouncer to the far post. But it was TT Naslonski that had the final say of the game as she scored with just six seconds left to win it for the Scarlet Knights.

Inside the Box Score
• Harrison became Hopkins' all-time draw controls leader when she broke
Dene' DiMartino's mark of 267 with her first win of the day. She finished with a game-high seven draws and now has 274 for her career. She also added four goals, three ground balls and a caused turnover.
• McPherson finished with her second straight hat trick and third on the season while Barker also had a two-point day (1g, 1a). Junior
Bailey Cheetham and sophomore
Camerone Levine had four ground balls each, while Cheetham also had two takeaways.
• Spilis led the Scarlet Knights with a game-high five goals. Kelly and Naslonski each had four-point (2g, 2a) outings, while Marin Hartshorn had a pair of assists.

• Hopkins returns to action on Tuesday, March 29 as the Blue Jays host UMBC. The non-conference contest is scheduled for a 4:00 pm start at Homewood Field.
