Meet Highlights
- After an outstanding performance a week ago, the Johns Hopkins quartet of Arthur Beyer, Daniel Chen, Matthew Kleiman and Bryce Thalheimer showed out once more. Beyer led the quartet, posting the third-fastest mark in program history to jump into third nationally with a time of 3:48.73. Only Blue Jay legend and 800m national champion, Andrew Carey, has run the 1,500 faster than Beyer in program history. Chen improved on his PR time, finishing the race in 3:51.34, the fifth-fastest time in program history. As of writing, that would place Chen 12th at the DIII level. Kleiman improved slightly his season-best time, finishing in 3:53.03. Last, but not least a new PR for Thalheimer just misses a top-10 mark in program history with a time of 3:54.66
- In the 5,000 at the Bison Outdoor Classic, Gavin McElhennon posted the sixth-fastest time in JHU program history, placing 26th with a time of 14:36.60. Tommy Li's time of 14:45.00 just misses a top-10 program mark.
- At Goucher, Elias Boussouf and Kevin Sommer both had strong days in the 100 and 400-meter hurdles. Boussouf won the 400-meter hurdles with a time of 55.87 while Sommer placed second at 56.14. Sommer fared better in the 110-meter hurdles with a time of 15.78.
- Conrad Say posted a time of 11.13 in the prelims of the 100-meter dash to qualify for the finals where he won the event with a time of 11.18.
