Gutierrez Breaks Her Own School Record To Lead Jays At Towson

Meet Highlights
  • Taryn Silvernale tied the fifth-best outdoor high jump in program history at 1.60m to place seventh in the event on Saturday.
  • Annie Gutierrez placed eighth in the long jump at 5.39m in a field of 41. Gutierrez ran the 100-meter hurdles in 14.67 to qualify for the finals. In the finals, she broke her own school-record with a time of 14.57, placing second in the event. 14.67 is the fourth-best career mark and the third-best in program history.
  • Kaitlin Bonney, Lauren Phillips, Abigail Gerdes and Ashley Tyburski combined to run a strong 4x100 relay time of 49.87 to place seventh.
  • Lauren Phillips took seventh in the 400 with a time of 58.76. Tyburski finished 11th at 59.12. Phillips ran 25.85 in the 200, just shy of the program's top-10 list.
