Spjut Crushes 5000 To Lead Blue Jays On Day One Of Penn Relays

Meet Highlights
 
  • Lina Spjut was outstanding, jumping into the top-10 nationally and running the seventh-fastest time in program history in her first 5K run of the year. Spjut crossed the finish line in 16:41.83 to jump up to seventh nationally at the DIII level.
  • Running her third steeplechase in the last three weeks, Sara Stephenson crossed the finish line in 10:59.82, her second-fastest time in the event.
  • Blue Jay graduate Bridgid Selfors ran the women's 10k in 35:54.04, the 10th-fastest time in JHU program history. Selfors' time is the 16th-fastest at the DIII level thus far in 2022.
  • In the men's 1500, Arthur Beyer continued his outstanding 2022 campaign, crossing the finish line in 3:51.14. Teammate Matthew Kleiman crossed the finish line four seconds later on the dot at the 3:55.14 mark.
