Kadiri, Gutierrez & Sommer Lead Blue Jays With Top Marks At AARTFC's

Women's Meet Results
 
  • Blue Jay sophomore Victoria Kadiri did it again. The Lynn, MA native jumped her way into a tie for first place nationally in Division III with a 6.06m leap to win the event at AARTFC's. Teammate Annie Gutierrez wasn't far behind her, placing third to leap up into fourth place in DIII with a 5.93m jump.
  • The Blue Jay 4x100 relay placed ninth with a time of 48.79, the group's second-fastest time of the season. Abigail Gerdes kicked off the first leg, followed by Lauren Phillips, Gutierrez, and Kadiri as the anchor leg.
  • Phillips ran in the 400 as she currently sits inside the cut line to compete in the event at NCAA's. She placed 19th with a time of 58.58, finishing just ahead of teammate Ashley Tyburski at 58.76. Grace Massillon ran her fastest time of the year in the event, finishing in 59.64.
  • Harrinee Senthilkumar finished sixth in the 800, running a PR time of 2:16.01. Senthilkumar now holds the second, third and fourth-fastest times ran in the event by a Blue Jay this year.
Men's Meet Results
  • Arthur Beyer placed third in the men's 1,500, running the race in 3:50.06. The time is Beyer's fourth-fastest of the season as he holds all five of the Blue Jays top marks in the event.
  • Blue Jay junior Kevin Sommer improved on his 400-hurdle time enough to stick in the top-20 with a record-breaking time of 53.25 to place him 18th in the country and fifth at the event. Teammate Elias Boussouf placed 12th in the event with a time of 54.81.
  • In the high jump, Mitchell Porter snuck past his season-best mark with a 1.87m jump.
  • Matthew Su hit a 7.25m long jump to place third at the event. Su is currently in 12th nationally with a 7.40m leap. Owen Bianchi finished just behind him with a PR jump of 7.22m, placing him 25th in the country. Justin Canedy finished 10th with a 6.84m long jump, his top mark of the outdoor season.
