LA CROSSE, WI – The Johns Hopkins men's outdoor track & field team earned two All-America performances Friday on day two of the 2026 NCAA Division III Outdoor Track & Field Championships at Veterans Memorial Stadium, hosted by the University of Wisconsin–La Crosse, courtesy of

Connor Oiler.
After seven scored events, the Blue Jays are tied for 31
st place heading into the final day of competition.
Competing as Johns Hopkins' lone representative in the decathlon, Tangelson totaled 6,456 points to finish 13
th overall and earn Second Team All-America honors. The junior turned in two sixth-place finishes on Friday, highlighted by a personal-best throw of 37.28 meters in the discus and a time of 4:36.39 in the 1,500 meters. He also cleared a personal-best 3.85 meters in the pole vault during the competition.
Oiler added another Second Team All-America honor for the Blue Jays after placing 12
th in the steeplechase with a time of 9:16.96.
Hopkins returns to action Saturday, May 23, for the final day of competition at the 2026 NCAA Division III Outdoor Track & Field Championships.
