BALTIMORE, MD – The Johns Hopkins men's soccer team received five first-place votes and 76 total points to earn the top spot in the 2022 Centennial Conference Preseason Poll of the league's head coaches.
Hopkins went 7-2-0 in conference play a year ago to win the regular season title and earn the top seed in the Centennial Conference Tournament. The Blue Jays finished with a 12-5-2 record and advanced to the second round of the NCAA Tournament. Hopkins has won three regular season Centennial titles and two tournament titles under head coach

Franklin & Marshall sits in a close second with three first-place votes and 71 points. Gettysburg grabbed the other first-place vote and 62 points to come in third in the poll. Rounding out the top-five are Swarthmore (56 points) and Washington College (53).
Hopkins will open the 2022 season on Thursday, September 1 when Rowan visits Homewood Field (1 pm). It will be the first regular season meeting between the two since 1998 – a 2-1 Blue Jay win.
