WASHINGTON, DC – The Johns Hopkins men's swim team returned to the pool for the first time in more than a month in a dual meet at George Washington Saturday. The Blue Jays won four events and added three runner-up finishes against the Colonials.
Senior
Kyle Wu grabbed the first of his two wins as he beat the field in the 200 Free with a swim of 1:40.56. Sophomore
Eric Ji finished in fourth place as he clocked in at 1:45.81. Junior
Justin Limberg led a trio of Blue Jays that took three of the top four spots in the 100 Breast. Limberg took the win with a time of 58.13. Senior
Brandon Stride finished in 58.50 for third place, just five hundredths of a second out of second place. And sophomore
Nathan Jin placed fourth in a time of 59.03.
Wu earned his second win of the day in the 100 Free as he clocked in at 46.69. Stride won the 200 Breast as he finished in 2:07.00, while Limberg followed in fourth place with a time of 2:08.99.
Hopkins opened the meet with a third-place finish in the 200 Medley Relay. Senior

Spencer Ryan finished in 1:32.48, just three hundredths of a second behind the second-place Colonials' squad. Junior
Kellen Roddy then placed second in the 1000 Free with a time of 9:25.69. Freshman
Matthew Hartshorn placed fourth in 10:03.51.
Rua then placed third in the 100 Back with a time of 51.79, followed by freshman
Bryce Lloyd in fourth (53.41). Clapp led the Blue Jays with a fourth-place finish in the 200 Fly in 1:52.55. Ryan then took fourth place in the 50 Free as he touched in 21.65. Lloyd placed third in the 200 Back with a swim of 1:54.53.
Roddy earned another runner-up finish as he clocked in at 4:36.17 in the 500 Free. Clapp then placed third in the 100 Fly in 50.26, followed by Ryan in fourth place with a swim of 51.68. Hartshorn finished in third place in the 200 IM with time of 1:56.51, with Jin taking fourth place in 1:56.84.
Hopkins ended the meet with a second-place finish in the 200 Free Relay (GW swam exhibition). Clapp, Wu, Ryan and junior
Jay Heymann combined for a time of 1:24.69.
Hopkins returns to action on Friday, January 20 at Georgetown.
