KANSAS CITY, MO – Rachel Jackson, a graduate student on the Johns Hopkins women's soccer team, has been named to the 2022 United Soccer Coaches (USC) Association Scholar All-America Team it was recently announced.  Jackson earned a spot on the third team and this is the 17th time a Johns Hopkins player has landed a spot on the USC Scholar-All-America Team since Meg McIntosh became JHU's first selection in 2005; in all, 12 Blue Jays have combined to earn the 17 selections with five players earning the award twice.
 
Jackson is currently pursuing a master's degree in chemical engineering after graduating last May with a degree in chemical and biomolecular engineering and a 3.71 cumulative grade point average.  She is a three-time College Sports Communicators (CSC)/CoSIDA Academic All-District selection and was a Third Team CoSIDA Academic All-American in 2020.
 
On the field, Jackson finished her career with 41 goals and 17 assists for 99 points.  She ranks fifth in school history in career goals and points and eighth in career assists.
 
A three-time USC First Team All-Region selection and a three-time All-Centennial Conference selection as well, Jackson capped her career by leading Johns Hopkins to the first national championship in school history in 2022.  She scored 13 goals and added five assists for 31 points in 2022 as the Blue Jays went 23-0-2 and won their final 21 games of the season on their way to winning the NCAA Championship.
