LEWISBURG, PA – The Johns Hopkins women's swim team kicked off the three-day Bucknell Invitational with a trio of NCAA B times, as well as six career-best swims. The Blue Jays, the only Division III team at the meet, sits in fifth place out of seven with 233 points.

Michelle Liu turned in an NCAA B time of 1:34.14 to beat UConn by nine-hundredths of a second.

Julia Tuinman then swam in the A Final of the 500 Free and each turned in NCAA B swims. Cornish took third place with a time of 4:56.26 while Tuinman placed sixth in 4:59.88. In the B Final, sophomore
Alex Watson finished in seventh in 5:06.81 and junior
Meg Susil took eighth with a time of 5:09.83.

Taylor Rohovit took second place in the B Final of the 200 IM as she clocked in at 2:05.92. Sophomore
Rachel Davis did the same in the C Final as she finished in 2:07.28, shaving nearly two and a half seconds off her prelim time.
In the B Final of the 50 Free, Liu led a trio of Blue Jays that went back-to-back-to-back. Liu finished in 23.67 for third place, beating Higgins by just one-hundredth of a second. Cohen followed in fifth place with a swim of 23.84. Lan won the C Final as she clocked in at 23.87, while sophomore
Claire Han took eighth place in 24.34. Higgins, Cohen, Lan and Han all posted career-best times in the event.
The Blue Jays finished the night with a fifth-place finish in the 400 Medley Relay. Lan, Rohovit, freshman
Kate Petitt and Liu turned in a time of 3:52.15.
The Bucknell Invitational continues on Saturday at 10:00 am with the prelims of the 400 IM.
