BALTIMORE, MD – The Johns Hopkins men's and women's swim teams wrapped up the regular season portion of its schedule with the annual Blue Jay Invitational Saturday. Sophomore
Kristin Cornish added another school record to her resume and the Blue Jays turned in seven NCAA B qualifying times.
Cornish swam a 4:48.37 in the 500 Free to break the six-year-old school record by 0.13 seconds. Her time is also an NCAA B time. Sophomore
Eric Ji turned in the fifth fastest time in program history, along with an NCAA B time, when he clocked in at 3:55.23 in the 400 IM.
Freshman
Avery Clapp posted an NCAA B time of 1:47.98 in the 200 Back. Junior
Kellen Roddy followed with an NCAA B time of 4:29.62 in the 500 Free. Freshman
Claire Han then swam a 1:52.06 to post a qualifying time in the 200 Free. Senior
Emerson Davis and freshman
Andrew Huang followed with NCAA B times in the 200 Fly. Davis finished in 2:04.90 and Huang clocked in at 1:50.72.
Hopkins is back in action on March 15 at the 2023 NCAA Championships in Greensboro, NC. The NCAA swimming selections are set to be announced on Wednesday, February 22.
