GREENSBORO, NC – The Johns Hopkins men's swim team grabbed 43 points on the second day of the NCAA Championships and sits in sixth place. The 400 Medley Relay team lead the way for the Blue Jays with a seventh-place finish in the final event of the night.
The Blue Jays opened the night with a 12
th place finish in the 200 Free Relay. Senior

Jay Heymann and senior
Spencer Ryan combined for a time of 1:21.50.
In the 400 IM, freshman
Matthew Hartshorn led Hopkins with a fifth-place finish in the consolation final, to finish 13
th overall with a time of 3:56.92. Sophomore
Eric Ji placed seventh in the consolation final, and 15
th overall, as he finished in 3:58.10.
Clapp then placed sixth in the consolation final, 14
th overall, of the 100 Fly with a time of 48.13. His prelim time of 48.03 is the eighth fastest time in program history and his finals time is tied for ninth fastest. JHU finished up the night with that seventh-place finish in the 400 Medley Relay. Senior
Steven Rua, Wu, Clapp and Ryan combined for a finals time of 3:16.16. Their prelim time of 3:15.50 is the sixth fastest in program history.
The NCAA Championships continue on Friday, March 17 with the prelims of the 200 Fly at 10:00 am. The finals are slated to begin at 6:00 pm.
