LANCASTER, PA – The Johns Hopkins men's tennis team placed three players on the All-Centennial Conference Teams it was announced today. Junior
Thomas Yu earned first team honors in singles and doubles, junior
James Yu was named first team in doubles and second team in singles and graduate student
Mason Liu earned first team all-conference honors in singles.
Hopkins has now produced 67 All-Centennial Conference selections in singles and 63 in doubles.
Thomas Yu is 20-9 and is ranked fifth in the Atlantic South in singles. He boasts a career singles record of 55-15 and ranks ninth in program history. He is the two-time ITA Southeast Champion in singles.
Thomas Yu is a three-time First Team All-Centennial selection for singles and doubles.
Thomas and James are 22-6 in doubles and are ranked fourth in the Atlantic South. The pair won the ITA Southeast Championship last fall and then advanced to the semifinals of the ITA Cup.
James Yu is 15-6 in singles this season and 23-6 overall in doubles. He earns First Team All-CC honors in singles and second team honors in doubles for the second time in his career.
Thomas Yu is 25-6 overall in doubles this season and is 56-15 for his career. He is tied for 11
th in JHU history in career doubles wins and is 10
th with 111 total wins.
James Yu ranks 22
nd with 46 career doubles wins and is 23
rd with 77 total wins.
Liu is 17-5 in singles and is ranked 12
th in the Atlantic South this season. For his career, he is 36-31 in singles. In addition, freshman
Pranav Gadiraju was named to the All-Sportsmanship Team. Gadiraju is 13-3 in singles and 10-1 in doubles this season.
