BALTIMORE, MD – The Johns Hopkins women's swimming team returned home to take on New York University in a dual meet Tuesday afternoon. The visiting Violets topped the Blue Jays, 154-107. Junior
Taylor Rohovit led the Blue Jays with a pair of wins.
Hopkins finished in second and fourth place in the 200 Medley Relay to kick off the meet. Freshman

Julia Tuinman led JHU with a third-place finish in the 1000 Free as she touched in 10:43.07. Junior
Meghan Susil finished in fifth place in 10:49.32. Junior
Kristin Cornish then led a quartet of Blue Jays that went second through fifth in the 200 Free. Cornish finished in 1:54.43, while Watson placed third in 1:55.44. Sophomore
Claire Han finished in 1:56.26 and senior
Caroline Storen touched in 1:57.55.
Roche finished in third place in the 100 Back as she touched in 1:00.57. Freshman
Carly White took fourth in 1:02.62 and Higgins placed fifth in 1:09.02. Rohovit followed with the first of her two wins as she beat the field in the 100 Breast with a time of 1:06.71. Chelus finished in third place with a time of 1:08.04.

Ayden Min then laced fourth in the 200 Fly as she finished in 2:11.33. Petitt followed just 0.12 seconds later for fifth place. Lan led the Blue Jays in the 50 Free as she placed third in 24.53, only one-hundredth of a second out of second place. Cohen finished in fourth place in 24.73 and sophomore
Alia Basler placed fifth in 25.16.
Lan grabbed a win for the Blue Jays as she won the 100 Free with a time of 53.47. Han followed in second place with a time of 53.64 and Storen took fourth place in 54.61. Roche took fourth place in the 200 Back as she finsiehd in 2:09.07. Rohovit earned her second win and completed her sweep of the Breaststroke with a time of 2:24.72 in the 200. Sophomore
Rachel Davis finished in third place as she touched in 2:26.98.
Cornish and Min then went one-two in the 500 Free, while Watson placed fifth. Cornish clocked in with a winning time of 5:05.96, Min touched in 5:07.62 and Watson finished in 5:17.52. Cohen then placed fourth in the 100 Fly with a time of 58.69, just three-hundredths of a second out of third. Petitt followed in fifth place in 59.41. Tuinman won the 200 IM as she beat the field with a time of 2:08.83. Davis finished in fourth place as she finished in 2:12.24.
Hopkins ended the day with second, third and fourth place finishes in the 400 Free Relay. The team of Watson Cornish, Han and Lan finished in 3:34.85 for second. Cohen, Chelus, junior
Hannah Fu and Rohovit combined for a time of 3:38.35. And finishing in fourth were Basler, junior
Megan Craven, Higgins and Storen with a time of 3:40.09.
Hopkins returns to the pool on Saturday, January 20 as the Blue Jays travel to Franklin & Marshall.
