Liz Falterer has been named the Centennial Conference Defensive Player of the Week. This is the second career weekly conference honor of her career.
Falterer anchored the Blue Jay defense, allowing just five total shots and three penalty corners in two shutout wins last week. On Wednesday, Hopkins held McDaniel to zero shots and corners, while Saturday's 2-0 win limited 16
th-ranked Ursinus to five shots and three corners. The Bears entered Saturday's game averaging over three goals and 11 shots per game.
Falterer leads the Blue Jays with three defensive saves and boasts seven for her career.
Hopkins returns to action on Wednesday, October 2 as the Blue Jays host the Gettysburg Bullets. The Centennial Conference contest is scheduled for a 7:00 pm start.
