BRIDGEPORT, PA – Johns Hopkins freshman
Phillip Long has been named Honorable Mention All-Mid-Atlantic Water Polo Conference it was announced this afternoon. He is one of six freshmen to be named to the all-conference teams.
Long has played all 32 games for the Blue Jays and leads the squad with 84 points. He also ranks second with 53 goals and is third with 31 assists. Long's 84 points are the second most by a freshman in program history. He leads the team with 17 blocks, a freshman record, and ranks third with 33 steals.
Long scored eight goals and totaled nine points in his collegiate debut and has posted seven hat tricks this season. In addition, he has had three or more points in a game 14 times this season.
Johns Hopkins returns to action this weekend at the MAWPC Championship in Annapolis, MD. JHU will take on George Washington in the opening round on Friday, November 22 at 6:00 pm.
