Milliman Announces 2025 Johns Hopkins Men's Lacrosse Schedule

Blue Jays Open Season on February 1 at Denver

BALTIMORE, MD – Johns Hopkins men's lacrosse coach Peter Milliman announced the Blue Jays' 2025 schedule along with the team's upcoming fall competition schedule today; the 13-game regular-season schedule includes five home games, eight away games and five consecutive Big Ten games to close the regular-season.  Spring competition for the Blue Jays will begin with a home scrimmage the weekend of January 25.

Final game times for several games and television schedules will be announced at a later date. In some instances, today's announced schedule includes a tentative game date on a specific weekend, but the exact date has not been finalized on that weekend.

The fall schedule includes the team's annual alumni game on Saturday, October 5 (2 pm), a HEADstrong doubleheader with scrimmages against Air Force (2 pm) and NJIT (3:20 pm) on Sunday, October 13, and a scrimmage against Delaware on Saturday, October 26 (TBA).  All fall events will be held at Homewood Field.

After the scrimmage on January 25, the Blue Jays will open the season at Denver on February 1.  The game against the Pioneers will jump-start a five-game February run that will see the Blue Jays host Georgetown (Feb. 8) and North Carolina (Feb. 22) with games at Towson (Feb. 4) and Loyola (Feb. 15) also on the February docket.

Johns Hopkins will flip the calendar to March and play three non-conference games in a 14-day span to open the month.  A home tilt with Virginia on March 1 will be followed by back-to-back road games at Syracuse (Mar. 8) and Navy (Mar. 15).

The game against the Midshipmen will close the non-conference portion of the slate and the Blue Jays will welcome Rutgers to Homewood Field on March 22 to open Big Ten play.  Johns Hopkins will also host Ohio State (Apr. 5 – Homecoming) in league play with a conference road schedule that includes trips to Michigan (Mar. 29), Penn State (Apr. 12) and Maryland (Apr. 19).

As they have the last four years, all six teams in the Big Ten will qualify for the 2025 Big Ten Tournament.  The top two teams in the final league standing will earn a bye into the semifinals with the teams that finish third through sixth playing quarterfinal games on Saturday, April 26.  The number three and four seeds in the tournament will host those quarterfinal games.

Michigan will host the Big Ten Semifinals and Championship (May 1, May 3).  This will be the second time the Wolverines have hosted the event (2018).

Johns Hopkins' 13 regular season opponents compiled a 131-80 (.621) record in 2024 with its eight non-conference opponents rolling up an 86-46 (.652) record.  In addition, eight of the 13 qualified for the NCAA Tournament with three of those teams advancing to championship weekend.

As they have every year since 2006, all Johns Hopkins home games will air on the ESPN family of networks.  While that exact schedule has not been finalized, any games that do not air live on ESPNU will air live on ESPN+; the ESPN+ broadcasts will then air via tape delay on ESPNU (generally within 24 hours).  Television schedules for away games will be announced when available.  Games not available on television will be streamed live by the host school.
