BALTIMORE, MD – Host and fourth-ranked Johns Hopkins rode a pair of second quarter goals to a 2-0 win over 16
th-ranked Ursinus Saturday afternoon in Centennial Conference action. The Blue Jays improve 7-2 overall and 2-0 in the conference while the Bears fall to 4-3 and 0-1 in the conference.
After a scoreless first quarter in which the teams combined for four shots, Hopkins scored twice in a span of 78 seconds to take control of the game. After back-to-back saves by Adriana Palldinetti, sophomore

Megan Chang, who banged it home just 2:14 into the quarter.

Kaitlin Coward hit a long ball from near the right sideline, that skipped through several players into the circle. Graduate student
Lila Slattery corralled the ball, dribbled around Palldinetti and fired into the open cage at 3:32.
The two second-quarter goals would stand up as the Blue Jays held the Bears to just one second half shot. Hopkins finished with a 16-5 advantage in shots and an 8-3 advantage in corners. Sophomore
Aubrey Kilgore finished with four saves to earn the shutout while Palldinetti made nine for the Bears.
Hopkins returns to action on Wednesday, October 2 against Gettysburg. The Centennial Conference contest is slated for a 7:00 pm start at Homewood Field.
