SWARTHMORE, PA – Johns Hopkins got two wins from
Kennedy Lee in a170-92 loss at Swarthmore Saturday afternoon.
Hopkins opened with second and fourth place finishes in the 200 Medley Relay. The team of
Jaya Veerapaneni,
Michelle Liu, Lee and
Anna Miler finished in 1:45.58.
Kimberly Lan,
Katherine Chelus,
Kate Petitt and
Elizabeth Cohen followed in fourth in 1:47.83.
Nyah Stahl placed third in the first individual event of the day, the 400 IM, with a swim of 4:34.25.
Rachel Davis took fourth (4:35.35) and
Sarah Fox placed fifth (4:39.51).
Julia Tuinman finished in second place in the 200 Free with a time of 1:53.62, while
Taylor Rohovit placed third in 1:55.01. Lee then picked up her first win of the afternoon as she led the field in the 100 Back with a swim of 56.98. Veerapaneni followed in third place in 58.13. Liu finished in second place in the 100 Breast with a time of 1:05.63. Min led the Blue Jays in the 200 Fly as she placed fifth in 2:10.65.
Miler and Cohen finished in a close three-four in the 50 Free. Miler touched in 24.09, followed by Cohen in 24.29. The Blue Jays then went three-four-five in the 100 Free, led by Liu's swim of 52.62. Miler finished in fourth (52.99) and Veerapaneni in fifth (53.23). Lee earned her second win as she swept the Back events with a time of 2:03.90. Stahl followed in second place with a swim of 2:04.68.
Rohovit finished in second place in the 200 Breast in 2:21.49, while Davis took third in 2:04.07.
Meg Susil placed second in the 500 Free with a swim of 5:04.21. Tuinman followed in third place with a time of 5:08.98. Petitt led the Jays in the 100 Fly with a third-place finish and a time of 58.18, while Cohen took fourth place in 58.50.
Melissa Er was the top Blue Jay in the 200 IM as she finished in fifth place in 2:11.19. Hopkins then wrapped up the meet with second and third place finishes in the 200 Free Relay. Liu, Miler, Veerapaneni and Cohen took second in 1:35.36, just 0.18 seconds out of first place. Lan,

Alex Watson and Min finished in third place in 1:38.82, out-touching the Garnet by six-hundredths of a second.
Hopkins returns to the pool on Saturday, January 25 against visiting Franklin & Marshall. The meet is scheduled for a 12:00 pm start at the Newton White Aquatic Center.
