NEW YORK, NY – The Johns Hopkins women's track team closed two days of competition at the Dr. Sander Scorcher on Saturday with several impressive finishes across multiple events.

Junior
Emma Kothari got the day off to a quick start for the Blue Jays with a third-place finish in the Open Division of the Mile with a time of 5:01.34, a mark that currently ranks 11
th in the nation. In a field of 52, sophomore
Diana Valentini added a ninth-place showing with the 22
nd-best time in the nation to-date (5:05.43).

Junior
Mackenzie Setton punched up the nation's seventh-best mark in the Mile as she crossed in 4:58.00. She was the top-finishing Division III runner in the event in a field of more than 30 entrants.

The Blue Jays' 4x400-meter relay team added another top 10 finish to the team's strong showing on Saturday by posting a mark of 3:59.23. The team of
Annie Huang,
Lianne Saussy,
Ryan Bigelow and
Lorna Arcese now ranks ninth nationally.

In the Long Jump, the Blue Jay duo of
Chloe Zhang (7
th / 5.39-meters) and
Sara Bartlett (11
th / 5.30-meters) were among the top finishers – and the only two from Division III - in a field of 38 entries.
