Hopkins to Host NCAA Regional

BALTIMORE, MD – The ninth-ranked Johns Hopkins volleyball team has been selected to host an NCAA Tournament Regional for the third straight season, as announced by the association Monday. The eight-team regional includes Hopkins, Stevenson, Lynchburg, William Smith, St. John Fisher, Wentworth, La Verne and Penn St.-Behrend, with games to be played from November 20-22 inside Goldfarb Gymnasium at the Newton White Athletic Center.
 
The Blue Jays (25-4) earned an automatic bid after winning the program's ninth straight Centennial Conference Title. This marks the 12th time Hopkins has appeared in the NCAA Tournament dating back to 2011, with the Blue Jays holding a 22-10 record in regional games.
 
Hopkins is joined by the Mustangs (18-13), who secured the MAC Commonwealth title, as well as the Cardinals (29-1), Leopards (23-4) and Lions (22-7) who were all automatic qualifiers after winning their respective Empire 8, CNE and AMCC Conference Championships.
 
Series History
Thursday's game will be the 24th meeting all-time between Hopkins and Stevenson, with the Blue Jays commanding a 14-9 series advantage, with the Jays winning the most recent matchup, 3-0, during the 2024 season.
 
St. John Fisher-Wentworth will open the Regional Thursday, November 20 at 11:30 AM, with La Verne-Penn St.-Behrend to follow at 2 PM and Lynchburg-William Smith at 4:30 AM. Hopkins-Stevenson will conclude the first day of action at 7 PM.
