NEW YORK, NY – Johns Hopkins won two of its three contests at the Columbia Invitational on Sunday. JHU beat NJIT and Stevens but fell to host Columbia. The Blue Jays are now 9-2 on the season.
Hopkins opened the day by avenging its only loss of the season, beating NJIT 16-11.

Alex Jeffords and
Neil Pandey won two bouts each as the Sabre squad grabbed a 6-3 win.
Omar Reyes and
Josh Sima combined for six wins and the Foil squad won 7-2.
Jamie Knox won two of his three bouts as the Epee squad fell 6-3.
The Blue Jays then beat the Stevens Ducks, 19-8. The Sabre squad did not lose a bout, led by
Alex Pan and
Noah Zeng with three wins each.
Alastair Thompson did the same to lead the Foil squad to a 6-3 win. And in the Epee, the Blue Jays lost a tight one, 5-4, behind two wins for
Ayan Bhatnagar.
Hopkins then ran into Columbia, the 2025 NCAA Runners-up, falling 16-11. Jeffords won two bouts, including the clinching bout as the Sabre squad won 5-4. Thompson won twice in a 6-3 loss for the Foil squad. Knox, Bhatnagar and
Jorge Gana won one bout each in a 6-3 loss by the Epee squad.
Hopkins returns to action on Sunday, November 23 at the MACFA B vs C round robin at Haverford.
Notes: Jeffords moved into a tie for 15
th in program history with 197 career Sabre wins.
