Charlie Jackson has been named the Centennial Conference Men's Basketball Player of the Week after leading the Blue Jays to a pair of non-conference victories last week. This is the second time this season that Jackson has been honored as the CC's Player of the Week.

Jackson powered Johns Hopkins to a pair of big wins that extended the Blue Jays' winning streak to five as he averaged 22 points and 9.5 rebounds in the two victories. He scored 24 points and added nine rebounds in a 93-89 win against 21st-ranked and previously unbeaten Hood and then punched up 20 points and 10 rebounds in a 76-69 win against Swarthmore.  Jackson shot 57% (13-of-23) from the floor and 94% from the free throw line (17-of-18) in the two wins.

For the year, Jackson leads the team and the Centennial Conference in scoring (20.3) and leads the team and ranks third in the league in rebounding (8.3). He also ranks third in the Centennial in free throw percentage (.822) and fourth in field goal percentage (.526).

Johns Hopkins is now 6-1 on the year and the Blue Jays will return to action on Saturday, December 20 when they take on Susquehanna in the Puerto Rico Clasico in San Juan. The River Hawks are currently 6-2 on the year. Johns Hopkins will also play Illinois Tech (1-4) on its two-game trip to Puerto Rico.
