John Windley has been named the Centennial Conference Player of the Week it was announced today. This is his first weekly conference honor of the season and the third of his career.
Windley led Hopkins to three wins last week, including a pair of conference decisions. He averaged 16.7 points while shooting 62.1% from the field and a blistering 65% from three-point range. He also averaged 3.7 rebounds and 2.0 assists in the three wins.
Windley opened the week with 16 points, five rebounds and two assists in a non-conference win over Mary Washington Monday. He followed that with 10 points, three rebounds, two assists and a steal in a win at Dickinson two days later. Windley capped the week with 25 points, three rebounds, two assists and a steal in a win over Haverford. He was named the Wall-O'Mahony Game MVP for his performance against the Fords.
Windley leads the Blue Jays with 16.8 points and 2.1 assists per game and ranks second with 5.5 rebounds. In the Centennial, he ranks fourth in scoring and leads the conference in three-pointers (56) and three-point percentage (.418).
