Tomov, Kelly, Martin and Omonije Set 4x800m School Record at Penn Relays

PHILADELPHIA, PA – The Johns Hopkins men's track and field team wrapped up the final day of the Penn Relays on Saturday with a historic performance in the 4x800-meter relay, setting a new school record.

The quartet of Aiden Tomov, Evan Kelly, Zachary Martin and Fisayo Omonije posted a time of 7:38.48, surpassing the previous school record of 7:42.92 set in 2013 by Trevor Holmgren, Ben Press, Steve Hyland and Andrew Carey. The team's time of 7:38.48 not only establishes a new Hopkins benchmark but also ranks as the fifth-fastest time in the nation this season and the 24th-fastest in NCAA Division III history.

The Blue Jays return to action Friday, May 2, at the Centennial Conference Outdoor Track and Field Championships hosted by Ursinus College in Collegeville, PA.
