BALTIMORE, MD – The Johns Hopkins women's track and field team wrapped up the two-day Dalton Ebanks Invitational on Saturday, hosted by George Mason. Six individual and team performances earned spots on the Hopkins all-time top 10 lists.
Erika Ezumba delivered two top-10 all-time performances at the Dalton Ebanks Invite. In the shot put, the junior set a personal best with a 13.26m throw, securing the second-farthest mark in program history and a fifth-place finish. She also set a personal best in the discus with a 41.46m throw, placing fourth and recording the third-farthest mark in program history. Joining Ezumba was
Kellen Ievers, who finished seventh in the discus with a personal-best 36.88m throw, earning the seventh-farthest mark in program history.
Phoebe Williams, with a personal-best 35.03m throw in the Javelin, recorded the 10
th-farthest mark in school history.
On the track,
Mirra Klimov and
Ellie Lewis both set record-setting times in the 100m dash. Klimov ran a personal-best 12.13, giving her the third-fastest time in Johns Hopkins history, with Lewis crossing the line in 12.38, also recording a personal-best, and now tied for fifth-fastest in program history.
Finally, Klimov, Lewis,
Lianne Saussy and
Anna Zinsser combined to run a 48.53 in the 4x100m relay. The time was good enough for an eighth-place finish and the fourth-fastest time in school history. Joining them with a 10
th-place finish was
Ryan Bigelow, Clair Wang,
Nicole Dia and Evelyn Kim with a 51.45.
The Blue Jays are back in action Saturday, April 12, for the two-day Bucknell Invitational in Lewisburg, PA.
