Swaak Tabbed Centennial Offensive Player of the Week

LANCASTER, PA – After reaching a significant milestone—her 3,000th career assist, Johns Hopkins senior Helena Swaak was named the Centennial Conference Offensive Player of the Week. This is her third career weekly conference honor and makes her the third Blue Jay this season to be recognized.

Swaak played a key role in leading the Blue Jays to a 2-1 weekend, with notable victories over previously undefeated No. 22 Wesleyan and Endicott. The setter was a force on both ends of the court, totaling 28 kills (2.33 per set), 70 assists (5.83 per set), four service aces, 48 digs (4.00 per set) and eight blocks. She also earned her second triple-double of the season in the win over Wesleyan, posting 13 kills, 27 assists and 18 digs.

The McLean, Virginia native achieved a major career milestone in Hopkins' match against Tufts, surpassing 3,000 career assists—making her just the ninth active Division III player to do so. Swaak currently ranks fourth in program history for total assists.

Hopkins returns to action on Friday, October 3, as it squares off against York in a 7PM nightcap. The Blue Jays will conclude the weekend and open conference play on Saturday, October 4, hosting Bryn Mawr.
