LANCASTER, PA – The Johns Hopkins women's indoor track & field team opened the 2026 Centennial Conference Championships in dominant fashion Saturday at Franklin & Marshall, capturing four event titles to take command of the team standings. The Blue Jays closed day one with 82.5 points, holding a 43-point advantage over second-place Ursinus.
The Champions
Erika Ezumba | Weight Throw
Ezumba continued her record-breaking season on the conference stage. The senior shattered the conference, meet and school records in the weight throw with a mark of 19.59 meters, which currently ranks second in Division III. With the victory, she secured her third consecutive Centennial title in the event.
Phoebe Williams added to the Blue Jays' point total with a silver-medal performance, throwing 16.62 meters.
Clarissa Newman | Pole Vault
After earning silver a year ago, Newman returned to the runway determined to claim gold. The sophomore cleared 3.57 meters to become Hopkins' ninth pole vault champion — and the program's eighth straight in the event. Defending champion
Sarah Soto placed third (3.32m), while
Cassidy Woodham added points with a seventh-place finish (3.17m).
Jaclyn Donoho | Pentathlon
Donoho edged Franklin & Marshall's Amanda Imhauser to win the pentathlon title with 2,975 points, claiming the championship by 131 points. She placed first in the 60-meter hurdles (9.63) and long jump (5.13m | PR), third in both the high jump (1.47m) and shot put (8.77m) and sealed the victory with a sixth-place finish in the 800 meters (2:41.09). th Blue Jay to win the pentathlon since 2013.
Julia Widen also scored in the event, finishing eighth overall with 2,512 points, highlighted by a first-place time of 2:33.33 in the 800 meters.
Distance Medley Relay
The distance medley relay team of
Emma Kothari,
Ani Wedemeyer,
Mackenzie Setton and
Adriana Catalano delivered a commanding performance, winning the conference title in a meet-record 11:46.73 — nearly 40 seconds ahead of the runner-up. The time ranks eighth all-time in program history and marks Hopkins' seventh Centennial title in the event.
Hopkins also saw a school record fall in the 4x200-meter relay, as

Anna Zinsser and
Lianne Saussy claimed silver in 1:42.99 — the fastest time in program history.
In total, the Blue Jays recorded 13 top-eight finishes on day one to build their commanding 43-point lead.
Hopkins returns to action Sunday, March 1, for the final day of the Centennial Conference Indoor Track & Field Championships. Competition begins at 11:30 a.m. with the high jump.
