LANCASTER, PA – Johns Hopkins sophomore
Clarissa Newman has been named the Centennial Conference Field Athlete of the Week following a standout performance at George Mason's Patriot Games. The honor marks Newman's second weekly conference award of the season.
Newman led the Blue Jays in the field events, placing fourth in the pole vault with a clearance of 3.81 meters. The mark ties her career best, ranks 11
th in Division III this season and is tied for third of the Centennial Conference's all-time performance list.
Johns Hopkins returns to action on Friday, February 6, when the Blue Jays compete at the Fasttrack Invitational at the Ocean Breeze Athletic Complex in Staten Island, NY. Events are scheduled to begin at noon.
