Blue Jays Finish Fifth Overall

BIRMINGHAM, AL – The Johns Hopkins women's indoor track and field team earned three top-six finishes and totaled 11 points on the final day of the 2026 NCAA Division III Indoor Track & Field Championships Friday at the Birmingham CrossPlex.

With 11 points, the Blue Jays finished fifth overall in the team standings — the third-highest finish in program history. WashU captured the national title with 54 points, followed by Williams (44), Centre (43) and Wisconsin–La Crosse (38).

Mackenzie Setton led the way for Hopkins with the team's highest finish of the day in the mile. The senior earned her second career All-America honor — and second straight — with a fourth-place finish in 4:47.46. Her time ranks as the second-fastest in school history, the fourth-fastest in Division III this season and the 16th-fastest all-time in Division III. Emma Kothari also earned an All-America finish in the event, finishing 10th overall with a time of 5:13.88.

Adriana Catalano secured her second career 3,000 meters All-America honor, also earning the distinction in back-to-back seasons. The senior improved upon her seventh-place finish at last year's championship by placing sixth in 9:35.16 to add three points to the Hopkins total. She becomes the seventh All-American in program history in the 3,000 meters.

In the field events, Erika Ezumba followed up her silver-medal performance in the weight throw with a record-setting result in the shot put. The senior posted a personal-best throw of 13.73 meters to finish sixth and score three points. The mark set a new school record and made Ezumba the first student-athlete in program history to earn All-America honors in the shot put.

In total, the Blue Jays recorded 12 All-America performances across eight events at the 2026 NCAA Division III Indoor Track & Field Championships.

Hopkins now turns its sights to the outdoor season. The Blue Jays will open the season Friday, March 27 at the Raleigh Relays, hosted by North Carolina State University.
