BALTIMORE, MD – Johns Hopkins returned home and picked up another ranked win on Wednesday with a 4-1 defeat of 36
th-ranked NC Wesleyan. The Blue Jays improve to 11-5 on the season, while the Bishops fall to 11-8.
Hopkins swept the doubles matches to grab the point heading into singles.
Pranav Gadiraju and
Mukundh Boopathi dropped just one game as they beat Ben Russell and Farhaan Patrawala two.
Brian Yi and
Dylan Blenkiron then clinched the doubles' point with a 7-5 win over Brody Brice and Indrek Raudkivi at three.
Allen Gong and
Chakor Rajendra completed the sweep when they beat Adam Singleton and Albert Sitwell, 7-6 at one.
Russell grabbed a point and tied the match when he won by retirement at two three singles. Blenkiron put the Blue Jays back on top with a 6-2, 6-2 win over Sitwell at two. Gong pushed the lead to 3-1 as he dropped just two games in his win over Singleton at one.
Joshua Kim then clinched the match with a 6-0, 7-6 (2) win over Raudkivi at six.
Hopkins returns to action on Sunday, April 19 versus Christopher Newport.
