COLLEGEVILLE, PA – The Johns Hopkins women's track & field team continued its push toward the 2026 NCAA Outdoor Track & Field Championships on Wednesday at the All-Atlantic Region Track & Field Championships (AARTFC), hosted by Ursinus College. The Blue Jays delivered a series of standout performances and added several nationally competitive marks on the opening day of competition.
The spotlight belonged to the 4x100-meter relay team of
Mirra Klimov,
Chloe Zhang,
Ellie Lewis and
Dominique Thomas, which continued its dominant season with another record-breaking performance. The quartet advanced to Thursday's final after posting a meet-record time of 45.80. The performance shattered the Johns Hopkins and Centennial Conference records for the fourth time this season, while also producing the fastest time in Division III this year and the seventh-fastest mark in Division III history.
Klimov also advanced to Thursday's final in the 100-meter dash after clocking a 12.08 in the preliminaries. The senior will look to improve on that mark in the final as she chases the current NCAA qualifying standard of 11.89.
The 4x400-meter relay team of
Gabrielle Moore,
Madison Moore,
Lianne Saussy and
Lorna Arcese turned in another strong showing, placing third with a time of 3:47.56. The mark ranks as the second-fastest performance in program history and currently sits 12
th nationally this season, likely solidifying the squad's position for the NCAA Championships.
In the pole vault,
Clarissa Newman cleared a personal-best 3.78 meters to finish fourth overall. The mark ranks second in program history and currently stands 26
th nationally, placing Newman in contention for a berth at the national championships.
Hopkins returns to action Thursday, May 14, for the final day of the All-Atlantic Region Track & Field Championships at Ursinus College.
