Lacey Downey and
Reagan O'Brien were named to the 2026 Nike Lacrosse All-America First Team it was announced this afternoon. The Blue Jays three first team selections are tied for the most in the nation.
Hopkins has now produced 12 Nike All-Americans in four seasons under head coach
Tim McCormack. Angello, Downey and O'Brien are all repeat selections from 2025 with Angello earning Nike All-America honors in each of her four seasons.
O'Brien is the NCAA record holder in single-season caused turnovers (103 • 2025) and career (249) entering the NCAA Semifinals. She leads the nation with 83 caused turnovers, second most in NCAA history, and is the only player in the nation averaging more than 3.51 per game. O'Brien is also tied for fifth in the nation with 70 ground balls, two shy of the school single-season record.
Angello became Johns Hopkins' all-time single season and career goal scorer in Thursday's win over Stony Brook. She has totaled 78 goals, breaking
Rebecca Savage's 1994 record of 77, on the season. Angello also broke
Mary Key's (2004-06) record of 234 goals and now sports 236 in her career. She leads the team with a career-best 106 points and has 11 games with five or more points this season.
Downey earns First Team Nike All-America honors for the first time after being named Honorable Mention last year. She has poured in 57 goals and 46 points for 103 points to go with 70 ground balls, 43 draws and 49 caused turnovers. She is tied for the team lead in ground balls and ranks second in every other category. Downey broke both the school single-season and career records for assists by a midfielder.
