LA CROSSE, WI – The Johns Hopkins women's outdoor track & field team earned an All-America performance Friday on day two of the 2026 NCAA Division III Outdoor Track & Field Championships at Veterans Memorial Stadium, hosted by the University of Wisconsin–La Crosse, highlighted by a national runner-up finish from
Claudia Ouimet.
After eight scored events, the Blue Jays sit tied for 14
th place with eight points heading into Saturday's final day of competition.
Competing as Hopkins' lone representative in the heptathlon, Ouimet delivered a stellar performance across the two-day event. Entering Friday atop the leaderboard, the sophomore opened the day by winning the long jump with a personal-best leap of 5.79 meters — the fourth-best mark in program history. Ouimet ultimately finished as the national runner-up with 5,079 points, earning the highest finish in the heptathlon by a Johns Hopkins athlete in program history and securing All-America honors.
The Blue Jays also turned in a record-breaking effort in the 4x100-meter relay, as the quartet of
Mirra Klimov,
Chloe Zhang,
Ellie Lewis and
Dominique Thomas advanced to Saturday's final with a time of 46.42. The mark shattered both the Johns Hopkins program record and the Centennial Conference record.
Hopkins added two more qualifiers for Saturday's finals in the 800 meters.
Mackenzie Setton posted a personal-best time of 2:08.89 to record the fourth-fastest qualifying time while also moving to fourth in program history in the event.
Emma Kothari secured the final qualifying spot with a time of 2:10.66.
The Blue Jays return to action Saturday, May 23, for the final day of competition at the 2026 NCAA Division III Outdoor Track & Field Championships.
