GETTYSBURG, PA – The Johns Hopkins women's track & field team capped a dominant performance with 17 medals and seven event titles on the final day of the 2026 Centennial Conference Outdoor Championships, securing the program's 16
th consecutive conference crown.
The Blue Jays totaled a record-breaking 341 points, surpassing their own previous Centennial Conference mark of 338.5 set last season. Johns Hopkins finished well ahead of Ursinus, which placed second with 112 points. This also marks the program's first conference title won at Gettysburg.
Senior
Erika Ezumba highlighted the weekend for the Blue Jays, earning Most Outstanding Field Performer of the Meet honors.
The Champions
Mackenzie Setton | 800 Meters
A one-two-three showing in the 800-meter run, coupled with three other finishers in the top eight landed the Blue Jays 32 points in the team standings. Senior
Mackenzie Setton became the ninth Johns Hopkins runner to win the event when she crossed in 2:10.69 and she was followed closely by teammates
Ani Wedemeyer (2:11.66) and
Emma Kothari (2:12.33). This is the second time in the last three years Johns Hopkins has produced the 800-meter champion.
Diana Valentini | 1,500 Meters
Hopkins grabbed the top two spots and five of eight scoring spots in the 1,500-meter run. Junior
Diana Valentini earned gold as she crossed in 4:35.50 to narrowly edge teammate
Adriana Catalano, who earned silver with her time of 4:36.32. Valentini is the 10
th Johns Hopkins runner to win the event at the CC Championships, including the fourth straight.
Mirra Klimov | 100-Meter Dash
Not long after helping the 4x100-meter relay to silver, Klimov became the fourth Blue Jay to twice win the 100-meter dash as she grabbed gold with a winning time of 12.18. She is the 12
th overall gold medalist for Johns Hopkins in the 100 and this is the fifth consecutive year that a Blue Jay has won the event.
Erika Ezumba | Shot Put
Ezumba defended her title with a winning throw of 13.28 meters, becoming just the third back-to-back champion in program history and the 13
th overall Johns Hopkins winner in the event.
Lianne Saussy | 400-Meter Hurdles
After earning bronze a year ago, Saussy claimed gold in 1:02.87 to become the fifth champion in program history.
Lorna Arcese added a bronze in 1:04.08, a time that ranks third in program history and among the top marks nationally this season.
Natalie Boquist | 5,000 Meters
Johns Hopkins continued its distance dominance as
Natalie Boquist won the 5,000 meters in 17:26.18.
Evangeline Dunckley followed with a personal-best 17:42.38 to secure silver. This marks the 14
th time—and fifth straight year—the Blue Jays have won the event, as well as the sixth one-two finish in program history.
4x400-Meter Relay
The quartet of
Gabrielle Moore,
Madison Moore, Saussy and Arcese captured the program's third consecutive 4x400-meter relay title in 3:49.80. The victory marks Johns Hopkins' 10
th championship in the event and ranks 10
th all-time in program history.
Gabrielle Moore added to the Blue Jays' medal haul in the 400-meter dash with a runner-up finish in 56.81. Moore's silver is the fourth in program history, while her medal is the 15
th; 14 of the 15 medals have come since 2013.
Sophomore
Claudia Ouimet added to her strong weekend-long performance with a runner-up finish in the 100-meter hurdles with a time of 14.80. She is the third Blue Jay to earn silver in the event since 2018 and the 10
th JHU medalist since 2016.
The Blue Jays grabbed silver in the 4x100-meter relay as the team of Klimov,
Chloe Zhang,
Ellie Lewis and
Leah Valentine crossed in 47.52. The team from Ursinus narrowly edged the Blue Jays at the line with a winning time of 47.51; this is the 10
th top-two finish in the event for Johns Hopkins since 2007.
Phoebe Williams got the Blue Jays going early on Sunday with a silver in the javelin as her best toss of the day measured 33.68 meters. This is the second consecutive year that Williams has earned silver in the javelin as the CC Championships and the 17
th medal for the Blue Jays in the event.
Lewis capped the meet with a silver in the 200-meter dash, crossing in 25.35.
Hopkins returns to action on Monday, May 11, at the Widener Final Qualifier, where select student-athletes will look to secure qualifying marks for the 2026 NCAA Outdoor Track & Field Championships.
