Tetsuya Ota joined the coaching staff in 2024-25. 

Ota's coaching career began in 2019 at the Mast Tennis Academy. Two years later, he became an assistant coach at Calvert Hall High School and helped the team win an MIAA Championship in 2023. It was the team's first time in 22 years. In 2023, Ota became an assistant professional at L’Hirondelle Country Club in Ruxton, MD. He is now the Director of Player Development at the Mast Tennis Academy in Baltimore. 

Ota played at nearby Goucher College and graduated in May 2021 with a degree in sport management. He was named the Landmark Conference Rookie of the Year in 2018 after posting 18 singles wins and 18 doubles wins. As a sophomore, Ota totaled 25 combined wins and was named the Landmark Player of the Year. In 2020, he earned nine singles wins and five doubles wins before the season ended due to COVID-19.
