BALTIMORE, Md. -- The Johns Hopkins football team has jumped back into the top 25 of the American Football Coaches Association (AFCA) Division III Coaches' Poll as the Blue Jays are ranked 22nd in this week's poll. The Blue Jays are 8-1 this season and return to the top 25 after falling to 27th last week. The Blue Jays do not play this week and return to action for their regular-season-finale on November 15 at McDaniel.

Johns Hopkins had been ranked a program-best 13th two weeks ago before a 14-6 loss at Muhlenberg dropped the Blue Jays to 27th in last weeks' poll. Hopkins responded with one of its best efforts of the season in last Saturday's 49-10 win over Ursinus. Hopkins can clinch a share of its second straight Centennial Conference Championship with a win over McDaniel. In that scenario, Muhlenberg would receive the Centennial Conference's automatic bid to the upcoming NCAA Playoffs and the Blue Jays would be entered into the pool of teams fighting for one of the at-large bids to the championship.
