DiIonno, Colicchio Honored by Centennial Conference

BALTIMORE, MD ? Johns Hopkins junior quarterback Zach DiIonno (West Caldwell, NJ/James Caldwell) has been named the Centennial Conference Offensive Player of the Week and junior cornerback Adam Colicchio (Martinsville, NJ/Immaculata) has been named the Centennial Conference Co-Defensive Player-of-the-Week for their efforts in Johns Hopkins' 37-17 win at Gettysburg last Saturday. This is the second time this season and the third time in his career that DiIonno's has been named the CC's Offensive Player of the Week. This is the first time Colicchio has been honored.

DiIonno was 27-of-39 for 280 yards and three touchdowns to lead the way offensively for the Blue Jays against the Bullets. The 280 yards are the second-highest total of his career and marked his third 200-yard passing game of the season. His 27 completions were the most by Johns Hopkins player since Rob Heleniak had 29 completions against then Western Maryland in 2001. On the year DiIonno is 100-of-178 (.562) for 1,239 yards with 11 touchdowns against eight interceptions. He ranks first in the Centennial Conference in touchdown passes, passing yards per game (206.5) and total offense (207.8).

Colicchio registered four tackles, two interceptions and two other pass breakups to lead a Johns Hopkins defense that allowed just 219 yards of total offense against the Bullets. Both of Colicchio's interceptions led to Blue Jay touchdowns. On the year Colicchio leads the team and is tied for the Centennial Conference lead with five interceptions. He also has 17 tackles and a team-best 10 pass breakups to his credit through six games.

Johns Hopkins is currently 5-1 overall and 2-1 in the Centennial Conference. The Blue Jays will host Muhlenberg (5-1, 2-1 CC) in a matchup of the defending Centennial Conference Co-Champions on Saturday at 1:00 pm.
