BALTIMORE, MD - Top-ranked TCNJ scored the first three goals of the game en route to a 5-1 win over host Johns Hopkins in non-conference field hockey action Sunday at Homewood Field. The Blue Jays fall to 3-3 on the season while the Lions remain unbeaten at 5-0.

Erin Healy scored back-to-back goals in just over two minutes to open the scoring for the Lions. Following a TCNJ corner, Erin Waller sent the ball down to Healy in close, who redirected the ball past senior Elizabeth Peijnenburg at 5:39. Just over two minutes later, Waller lifted a shot off a TCNJ corner over Peijnenburg, but senior Sam Stuek was there to turn back the shot. However, the rebound kicked back out to Healy, who banged it home at 7:58.

Camille Passucci pushed the Lions' lead to three at 26:10 as the visitors capitalized on another corner. Waller took a hard hit from the top of the circle and Passucci tapped in at the left post. Hopkins got one back at 31:27 to make it a 3-1 game as the Blue Jays took advantage of a corner. Senior Liane Tellier inserted the corner to junior Storm Kodde at the top of the circle. Kodde took the pass and blasted a shot past Roisin Dougherty. Hopkins had a shot to make it a one-goal game just before the half when senior Meghan Kellett earned a penalty stroke after being taken down from behind on a breakaway. She beat Dougherty on her shot, but it hit the post and ricocheted out and TCNJ took a 3-1 lead into the half.

TCNJ added to its lead at 42:37 as Waller one-timed a shot off a Passucci corner insert. Passucci then capped the scoring at 46:16 when she redirected a long hit from Waller for her second of the afternoon. TCNJ had the edge in shots (24-7) and corners (14-6).

Peijnenburg finished with five saves in just over 52 minutes of action in the Blue Jay cage. Freshman Zoey Atabek came on in relief and made three saves without surrendering a goal. Stuek and junior Sarah Henderson each registered defensive saves as well. For the Lions, Dougherty finished with three saves in the win.

Hopkins returns to action and Centennial Conference play on Friday as the Blue Jays travel to Allentown, PA to take on Muhlenberg. Game time is set for 7:00 pm at Scotty Wood Stadium.
