The seventh-ranked Johns Hopkins women's tennis team defeated host and eighth-ranked Carnegie Mellon, 5-0, in the NCAA Sweet 16 on Sunday afternoon. The Blue Jays improve to 20-2 on the season as they reach the 20-win plateau for the first time in program history. Hopkins advances to the NCAA Quarterfinals for the second straight season. For the second consecutive season it was Johns Hopkins versus Middlebury for a berth in the NCAA Quarterfinals. This time it was the 11th-ranked Panthers that came out on top as Middlebury defeated ninth-ranked Johns Hopkins, 5-1, in the NCAA Sweet 16 Sunday afternoon. The No. 14 Johns Hopkins baseball team has been selected to the 2013 NCAA Division III Baseball Championship as an at-large bid. Hopkins will travel to Moosic, PA for the Mid-Atlantic Regional at PNC Field, hosted by Misericordia University. Click here for the full story.
