Anderson Named Centennial Co-Offensive Player of the Week

LANCASTER PA - Johns Hopkins senior quarterback Braden Anderson (Great Falls, VA/Langley) has been named the Centennial Conference Co-Offensive Player of the Week for his efforts in the Blue Jays' 37-14 victory over Gettysburg on Friday night. This is the second time this season Anderson has been honored and he shares the honor with Muhlenberg quarterback Nick Palladino.

Anderson was 21-of-26 for 306 yards and four touchdowns as the Blue Jays improved to 7-0 overall and 6-0 in the Centennial Conference with the win against the Bullets. Anderson, who played just the first half and one series in the third quarter, tied his career high for touchdown passes in a game with his four and his 306 passing yards are the second-highest single-game total of his career.

Anderson's efforts against the Bullets continued a strong season for the senior first-year starter. He is now 124-of-181 (.685) for 1,523 yards with 14 touchdowns against just four interceptions. He has also rushed for 202 yards and a team-high seven TDs on the season. Anderson currently leads the Centennial Conference in pass efficiency (160.29) and completion percentage, is tied for first in touchdown passes, ranks third in passing yards, and passing yards per game (217.6) and third in total offense (246.4).

The ninth-ranked Blue Jays will put their 18-game regular-season winning streak on the line when they travel to Ursinus (6-1, 5-1 Centennial) on Saturday, November 1.
