BALTIMORE, MD - The honors continue to roll in for Johns Hopkins junior guard Colin Egan, who has been named a First Team D3football.com All-American it was recently announced. Egan, who is making his first appearance on an All-America team, was the lone returning starter on the Johns Hopkins offensive line this season and led a group that became a team strength as the season progressed.
Egan had previously earned First Team D3football.com All-South Region, First Team All-Centennial Conference and First Team CoSIDA/Capital One Academic All-District honors. He is just the third offensive lineman in school history to earn first team honors, joining Ben Cranston (2013) and Armand Jenifer (2012, 2013).
With Egan leading the way, the Johns Hopkins offense averaged 37.2 points and 434.4 yards per game. The Blue Jays scored at least 21 points in all 12 of their games this season, averaged 6.0 yards per play and totaled more than 25 touchdowns rushing (34) and passing (27) for just the second time in school history.
