BALTIMORE, MD - Third-ranked Johns Hopkins cruised to a 9-0 win over visiting McDaniel in Centennial Conference action Wednesday afternoon. The Blue Jays win their third straight match, all by shutout, as they improve to 14-1 overall and 6-0 in the conference. The Green Terror fall to 1-11 overall and 0-6 in the CC.

Freshmen Savannah de Montesquiou and Amanda Soo Ping Chow gave Hopkins a quick 1-0 lead in the match with an 8-0 win at third doubles over Nicole Arnold and Angie Johnson. Senior Lauren Fields and freshman Anna Kankanala then beat Nina Breece and Laura Pollard, 8-0, at second. Juniors Kaitlin Pfisterer and Macie Wilkins then wrapped up doubles with an 8-0 win over Elise O'Meara and Winsome Schauer at first.

Soo Ping Chow pushed the lead four as she won all 12 games over Arnold at fifth singles. De Montesquiou did the same at sixth, defeating Leesa Malczewski to clinch the win. Kankanala also won without dropping a game as she beat Schauer at first. Wilkins turned in the same score at third over O'Meara and JHU led 7-0. Pfisterer did not lose a game in her match at second as she beat Pollard. Fields ended the match with a 6-0, 6-1 win over Danielle Cloney at fourth.

Hopkins returns to action on Thursday, April 17 as the Blue Jays visit the Bryn Mawr Owls. The Centennial Conference match, which has been postponed twice, is slated for a 4:30 pm start.
